Overview

The Postgraduate's Doctor of Nursing Practice program prepares nurses for advanced leadership roles in nursing practice. The goal of the Postgraduate's DNP program is to prepare graduates to provide quality healthcare to patients, families, and communities by assuming a leadership role in the healthcare system and are able to propose, implement, and evaluation evidence-based changes.  The program is online and requires 1,000 clinical hours, which may include clinical hours completed during the student's master's program.

Admissions requirements

  • Master's degree in Nursing (MSN) from a regionally accredited institution of higher learning
  • Minimum cumulative grade point average (GPA) of 3.0 on a 4.0 scale in all graduate coursework
  • Official transcripts from all institutions where credit was earned
  • Current unencumbered, unrestricted Missouri licensure as a Registered Nurse (RN) or a multi-state compact license in good standing
  • Current curriculum vitae (CV) or resume
